The Old Salt Lake House

I had an appointment in SLC and just had to drive by the house Melissa and Steve lived in for 4 years. It's not kept up as well, but the flowers are so pretty. Kami was just 1 year old when you moved here...such good memories I had babysitting here! Moment of silence for 919 E 500 S, SLC.

Cash is worth a Million

I quickly stole this photo from Melissa's blog...The baby has changed soooo much. Last time I saw him he was 5 days old. Now he's 3 months old and has blue eyes! What a doll! .....and the others aren't half bad either.

Which Movie Star?

My friend and her daughter swear that my 16 year old son Christian looks just like that movie star Josh Harnett--the fellow that played with Ben Affleck in Pearl Harbor. I think there's something to it.

I Want This Horse!

I photographed all 24 horses that are placed around historic 25th Street in Ogden..but I really want this one...do you think they would miss it if I just carted it away? Actually, The Whoopee Girl keeps getting racier and racier...did you notice that the artist forgot to paint in THE REST OF MY MOTHER'S OUTFIT! HELLOOOO.....This was a photo from 1936.... I don't think so!

PAINTED ON A HORSE

All around downtown Ogden, there are horses painted by western artists... I found one with mother on. I love it! During rodeo they now have a group of riders called the Whoopie Girls

Ogden Pioneer Days

Wow, it's that time of year again...the Ogden Pioneer Days...and Mom is ALL OVER TOWN! For someone who has been gone for 13 years, she sure shows up well. Her likeness that she posed for in 1936 (age 14) IS STILL BEING USED. Here it is on a pioneer wagon. This one was in the parking lot in Riverdale. she's on billboards and in the newspaper each day, too.
Here's a close up...
Here she is on a huge trailer ....and I want you to know that this picture is a lot more risque than her original photo.
Driving in traffic, I caught this one on the back of a big van.

This one is in front of the Pioneer Day's Office at 18th and Washington Ave.
There are 50 flags on masts all up and down Washington Ave. This one is near 23rd. This one is near Peery's Egyptian Theater ...the same place Mayor Harmon Peery asked for a meeting with her...to offer her the job of the Rodeo Queen... to lead the Grand March into the stadium for the rodeo twice a day for 5 days.... (she was excited because she thought he was going to offer her a job as an usher at his theater)
