Happy Birthday
Dear Macy...My Sweetheart,
....HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You are 4 years old now... WOW...I am so happy you are my own little granddaughter. You have my blue eyes (forget Steve's...they're MINE). I love the way you like me to read to you, and that you are SO SWEET when I am there.. and you play with frogs so well, and you help with the baby, and you can read a little bit now and that you have EXACTLY my hair color ... and you have so many cute shoes ....and I LOVE your darling little lips...and you like to sing along with Les Miserables...and that you are a girl's girl because you like to wear girlie things and princess things...and you say THE FUNNIEST THINGS! They are known as "Macyisms".... I wish I were there right now so I could squeeze you and kiss you and pick you up and we could go shopping together. I love you!

At General Conference
My DEAR friend Kay Carr Palmer finally came to visit me in Utah...so we got tickets for Sunday Morning General Conference....This new Conference center is so beautiful. It seats 22,000. We had pretty good seats. When President Monson walked in, every one stood and it was DEAD quiet. So special. Here is a pic of Christian and Kay's lovely daughter, Gwyneth. More pictures to come.
Cassy at Shriners Hospital
Cassy, the Brave
I'm not suppose to have favorites, but Cassy Rowe was certainly one of my favorite 4th graders. She was smart (straight 'A's), very athletic, fun, and 'sparkly'...not to mention ADORABLE. I loved her family, too. She is a very good friend of Christian's, and they write and text lots. About two months ago, she was paralyzed in a freak soccer competition and has been at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Sacramento since. She has some movement, and has hope in experimental electrical/and stem cell research.....She was cheerful and WONDERFUL during our visit. When I asked her what she does when she gets discouraged, she quickly replied, "I don't get discouraged".... I love her! Keep her in your prayers. I took this photo of her in 4th grade...she's 16 now.
